A Summer Citrus Obsession
THE ENERGY THAT Summer brings with it is infectious. It’s the carefree quality brought on by warm days and balmy nights, nostalgic flickers ignited by sandy feet and salty skin, a nurturing of self through daily rituals; wake up, swim, coffee, repeat.
It’s indoor-outdoor living, the blurring of lines between the interior and nature; speckled light hitting the nook where you take an afternoon nap, dining alfresco as the sun goes down but the evening stays warm, taking your daily rituals to the outdoors… all distinctly ‘Summer’.
The grounding benefits of these daily rituals set me up for success. There’s a sense of calm that comes with a swim in the ocean to start the day, or a shower to cool off in the evening.. a walk along the coast, or dining outdoors by candlelight late into the evening. Whatever the ritual, you can almost always count on it involving the ocean; the salty air, the sand beneath my feet, the sound of the waves hitting the cliffs.
So in the spirit of many a beach day to come, followed by leisurely showers to cool off before bed, I’ve included my favourite design from Købn’s new collection to include in your list of Summer essentials for indoor-outdoor living, below.
